Claire began cutting in 1986 by hand. She is self taught and worked originally in the fine furniture world, being married to a world renowned cabinet maker Alan Englefield.

In 2000 Claire decided to move with the technological times and purchased a small laser to compliment the hand work as well as dealing with a vastly increasing demand.  In 2005 a much larger laser was added due to increased demand.

Since the beginning Ace has worked with the finest furniture makers, including David Linley & Co. Ltd and is proud of its history and its work can be found on many pieces of fine furniture all over the world.
